On July 8, the 2025 National Science and Technology Awards were announced in Beijing. The project "Key Technologies and Standards for Measurement and Control of High-Safety, High-Efficiency, Long-Life Power Battery Systems for New Energy Vehicles" completed with the participation of Changan Automobile won the Second Prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award. This award-winning project focuses on the detection and control of three core challenges in power battery systems: real-time status, thermal field distribution, and safety risks. It has achieved key technological breakthroughs in detection and control equipment, early warning and protection platforms, and other aspects, solving core user pain points such as range anxiety, inconvenient charging, battery fire failure, and shortened service life. Relying on the core technology accumulated from the project, Changan Automobile's self-developed Golden Bell Cover Battery can provide users with more lasting and stable power output and driving experience, bringing users a new experience of "long life", "true safety", "super efficiency", and "fast charging".

Based on high-stability cell design, the durability of Changan Golden Bell Cover Battery outperforms national standards, with a cycle life of more than 5,000 cycles and supporting 600,000 kilometers of no-sensation attenuation. In terms of safety, it integrates a three-dimensional protection system of intrinsic safety, passive protection, and active early warning, achieving "zero accidents" of thermal runaway caused by battery reasons. In terms of efficiency, through advanced CTP and CTV integration technologies, it breaks through the integration efficiency and volume utilization rate of the assembly, bringing greater capacity and longer range under the same size; the mass-produced CTV battery achieves a maximum integration efficiency of 86%, releases cabin space, and increases headroom by 11.9mm. In terms of charging, it is the first to mass-produce a 6C high-voltage fast charging solution, which can replenish 30%-80% of battery capacity in just 9 minutes, achieving simultaneous upgrades in energy density and safety performance, with charging efficiency comparable to the refueling time of fuel vehicles.

To ensure the high-quality development of the Golden Bell Cover Battery, Changan Automobile has developed a comprehensive system: CA-EPDS new energy vehicle product development system, CA-ETVS new energy vehicle test verification system, CA-ESVS new energy vehicle simulation development system. In addition, it has created a ten-step method for robustness design and developed a big data algorithm monitoring platform, using innovative technology to comprehensively ensure the safety and reliability of the battery, and to achieve system guarantee for the entire life cycle of user vehicles.

In the reliability verification stage, Changan Golden Bell Cover Battery demands itself with standards that exceed national standards. As early as 2022, Changan Automobile proactively benchmarked against new regulations, anchoring the thermal safety design standard of the Golden Bell Cover Battery to the core requirements of "no fire, no explosion", and in May 2025, it fully passed all tests of the new national standard, becoming one of the first car companies in the industry to complete the new regulation certification. In addition, Changan Golden Bell Cover Battery has completed multiple stringent over-level tests at third-party institutions: all extreme tests such as fire for twice the national standard duration, bottom collision, double needle puncture, and ultra-long cycle have been passed, fully covering extreme conditions such as mechanical abuse, thermal abuse, and durability aging, setting a benchmark for battery safety in the industry.
