Changan Automobile, together with its partner CAOA Group, has opened a new chapter in Brazil's automotive industry: the highly automated production line in Anápolis has officially been completed and put into operation. Chinese Ambassador to Brazil Zhu Qingqiao, accompanied by Brazilian President Lula, Vice President Alckmin, the Mayor of Anápolis, and other dignitaries, attended the event and witnessed this important moment together.

At the inauguration ceremony, Brazilian President Lula highly praised Changan Automobile's corporate strength and determination for local development, stating in his speech: "China is Brazil's best partner. Changan Automobile's Brazil plant will create jobs and improve people's lives locally, playing a positive role in advancing Brazil's reindustrialization process."

Rooted in Brazil, Serving Latin America

Changan Automobile Becomes a Model for Chinese Automakers' Localization

At the event, the first locally manufactured Changan UNI-T rolled off the production line. This model was specially developed by Changan for the Brazilian market, featuring the advanced 1.5 Turbo GDi BlueCore Flex dual-fuel engine. The initial phase of the Changan Brazil plant plans to produce three models, covering various powertrains including fuel, hybrid, and plug-in hybrid. All models are equipped with flexible-fuel engines that can run on gasoline, alcohol, or any proportion of mixed fuel, fully adapting to Brazil's local demand for alcohol as a primary energy source.

Brazil is a strategic focus in Changan Automobile's global layout. The Brazil plant, now in production, is an important practice of Changan Automobile's transition from "product export" to "industry going global." It not only promotes the integration of automotive industry resources and technological collaboration between China and Brazil but also strengthens the bridge of China-Brazil friendship by driving employment and promoting the development of the industrial chain, allowing the fruits of China-Brazil cooperation to benefit more people in Latin America.

This model is reshaping the path of Chinese automobiles going global—no longer a single product export model, but supported by technology, systems, and brand, promoting deep integration with local industries and building a more stable and sustainable development ecosystem. Changan Automobile provides a replicable model for more Chinese auto brands to expand into overseas markets and offers a new "China Solution" for global automotive industry cooperation.

Currently, Changan Automobile has deployed 76 plants globally. After the Brazil plant begins production, it will complement Changan's other overseas plants regionally and form a global linkage, further promoting the implementation of the "Haina Baichuan" plan. Looking ahead, Changan Automobile will focus on advancing the "Four Ones" goals and the "152" global layout, elevating the five overseas regional markets to a strategic level equal to the Chinese market, and accelerating its progress toward becoming a world-class automobile brand.
